Acceptable Use Policy
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out what you may and may not do with Hasb. It is part of the Terms of Service. Violating it can result in suspension or termination of your account without refund and, where appropriate, referral to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities.
1. Strictly prohibited uses
You must not, directly or indirectly, use the Service to:
- Break the law. Engage in or facilitate any conduct that is illegal under UAE law, the law of your jurisdiction, or the law of any jurisdiction whose data you process. This includes tax evasion, fraud, money laundering, terrorism financing, bribery, corruption, sanctions evasion, human trafficking, modern slavery, and unlawful gambling.
- Falsify records. Backdate, fabricate, or otherwise misrepresent journal entries, invoices, receipts, or supporting documents with intent to deceive a tax authority, regulator, auditor, lender, investor, court, counter-party, or any other person.
- Process sanctioned persons. Knowingly create or maintain books for any person or entity on a UAE, UN, EU, UK, or US sanctions list, or use the Service in any sanctioned country.
- Upload illegal content. Including but not limited to child-sexual-abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, terrorist propaganda, or material that incites violence.
- Infringe rights. Upload material that infringes copyright, trade-mark, patent, trade-secret, privacy, publicity, or other rights of a third party.
- Disrupt the Service. Probe, scan, or test for vulnerabilities (except under a written agreement); circumvent rate limits or IP allow-lists; deliberately overload the Service; deploy denial-of-service, credential-stuffing, or scraping tools.
- Reverse-engineer. Decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract source code or proprietary algorithms, except where the activity cannot be prohibited by law (and then only to the extent permitted).
- Resell or rebadge. Make the Service available to third parties as your own product, or as part of a managed-service offering, without a separate written agreement.
- Impersonate. Pretend to be another person, organisation, tax agent, auditor, regulator, or representative of Hasb.
- Spam. Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email or messages, or to launder mail through our domains.
- Compromise security.Introduce malware, keyloggers, ransomware, or any other harmful code; attempt to access another tenant's data; attempt to access information you have not been authorised to see.
- Train AI on the Service.Use the Service's Output as training data for any AI model that is not strictly your own internal tooling.
2. Content rules
Even where lawful, the following content is not welcome and may be removed: gratuitously offensive material, harassment, discriminatory content based on protected characteristics, content that endangers minors, and content that violates the dignity or reputation of identifiable persons in a manner not connected with legitimate accounting activity.
3. AI-specific rules
You must not use Hasb AI to:
- generate misleading financial statements, fake invoices, or fraudulent documents;
- impersonate a tax agent, auditor, or licensed professional;
- circumvent compliance, AML, or sanctions controls;
- generate legal, tax, audit, medical, or other regulated professional advice presented to a third party as if from a licensed professional;
- create deepfakes, synthetic identity documents, or any content intended to deceive a person about who created it.
4. Your responsibility
You are responsible for everything done with your account, including by Authorised Users you invite. You agree to use commercially reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorised access and to notify us immediately if you become aware of any breach of this AUP relating to your account.
5. How we enforce
We monitor the Service for abuse patterns at the infrastructure and application layer. We do not browse Customer Data to look for AUP violations; we act on specific, credible reports or on signals from infrastructure-level abuse-detection (e.g., outbound spam, brute-force, massive scraping). Confirmed violations may result in (a) a warning; (b) feature-level restrictions; (c) suspension of the account; (d) immediate termination of the account without refund; (e) referral to law-enforcement or regulatory authorities where appropriate.
For violations that endanger people or are likely to cause irreparable harm (e.g., CSAM, terrorism financing, active fraud against third parties), we will act immediately and without prior notice.
6. Report abuse
To report content or activity that you believe violates this AUP, email abuse@hasb.ai with as much specific detail as possible. For CSAM specifically, please cooperate with our urgent intake at safety@hasb.ai.
